Alice and the mad hatter part 1

To Mr Lewis Carroll – SORRY!

From Alice in Wonderland :-

The Cat only grinned when it saw Alice. It looked good- natured, she thought: still it had VERY long claws and a great many teeth, so she felt that it ought to be treated with respect.

`Cheshire Puss,’ she began, rather timidly, as she did not at all know whether it would like the name: however, it only grinned a little wider. `Come, it’s pleased so far,’thought Alice, and she went on. `Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?’

`That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,’said the Cat.

`I don’t much care where-‘ said Alice.

`Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,’ said the Cat.

`–so long as I get SOMEWHERE,’ Alice added as an explanation.

`Oh, you’re sure to do that,’ said the Cat, `if you only walk long enough.’

Alice felt that this could not be denied, so she tried another question. `What sort of people live about here?’

`In THAT direction,’ the Cat said, waving its right paw round, lives a Hatter: and in THAT direction,’ waving the other paw, lives a March Hare. Visit either you like: they’re both mad.’

`But I don’t want to go among mad people,’Alice remarked.

`Oh, you can’t help that,’ said the Cat: `we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.’

‘How do you know I’m mad?’ said Alice.

`You must be,’ said the Cat, `or you wouldn’t have come here.’

In this version of the story, Alice did not get as far as the tea party with the mad hatter and the march hare….the mad hatter had other ideas……and he was not going to wait for her to stumble along……the mad hatter took matters into his own hands…

To be continued….

  1. Love the dress, and you look SO cute in it. Possibly not what you wanted to hear lol!

  2. I’ll second the cute comment and add that if Tim Burton’s version were this awesome, I might have actually gone to see it, lol. This is a Mad Hatter I can get behind!

  3. I do believe this could be the start of a great tale! Make sure to keep the pictures up to pace with the story! You two are the most fantastic couple I know on the web. Keep up the good work. I wont go into how cute or sexy you are. Heck you are awesome!

    sincerely, John

  4. This is not the story I know of old – this is a story that is good as gold;
    A pictured book that we deserve – for all of us who like to perve !
    There’s a knitted pink and woolie cat – and a dangerous stranger in a maddening hat;
    OH ! Run fair Alice, while you can ! – Do not trust that grim faced man !
    Hide in the wood where you can’t be found – or I’ll wager soon that you’ll be Bound !!

  5. thanks for the comments and the poem….we’d wanted initially to stick closer to the story but we were both feeling a bit iffy so did what we could! want to do more with the outfit though at some later date
