Blueprints for deviousness

This girl has made no secret of the fact that one of the main things that attracted to Grimly in the first place has always been his ability to design things himself. To see an idea, and put his own twist upon it. To make it work. To make it work for HER especially. He literally puts blood, sweat and tears into what he makes in some cases. And love.

This girl loves that about him. She loves wondering what he will come up with next, how she will react to it, how it will look, what reaction it might have amongst people. It’s kind of a sort of smug proud feeling ‘look what my totally amazing dom can do’ . This girl sometimes worries that it’s maybe showing off a bit. And?

Some people have asked recently for help with designs for some of Grimly’s more intricate inventions. Sorry, No. It takes a lot of imagination to come up with some of this stuff, time, patience, and  money to buy components and materials. The belt particularly has taken him several months of weekends to get to this stage. So why would he give up his ideas so easily?  Besides, the ideas go from mental imagery and prototype to item. There’s no drawing stage as such, no blueprint. In fact, designs probably wouldn’t help people make items unless they had the technical ability to begin with. JG Leathers  has quite a lot of sketches of components of the creature…but no one has emulated it.

This girl and Grimly want to hopefully inspire people into thinking up their own ideas – not copying what they have come up with slavishly.

When Grimly comes up with an idea, it’s normally inspired by other things on the internet, in stories, in his own head, by the ideas of his slave. A combination of sources. In fact, pulling ideas together and personalising is it one of the most fun parts. He has always said he enjoys the creative process and the time in the shed as much as the time in the playroom. Well ok. Maybe not *quite* as much.

This girl wants people to be amazed by what her Dom has come up with for her. She wants them to be inspired by it, and to go off and work out similar things for themselves, whether they be simpler or more complex. But, there is  a certain warm fuzzy feeling sometimes about knowing a lot of what he’s made is unique.

It’s not that he won’t make things for other people. He will. Using their imagination, their input and his interpretation of what they want. That’s something he will do for close friends, and maybe one day as a bespoke business but that’s a long way down the line. He’s tried running a toy business before, and got sick of making lots of the same thing, for very little profit. It removed the fun of new challengs, and the personal aspect. So, if he does it again, it will be bespoke. Though, one of the issues is that quite often doing things for financial profit sort of it takes away some of the fun and fantasy. It’s Grimly and this girl’s dreams…and whether that can be turned into a business….maybe not but we’ll see…watch this space.

This girl and Grimly have spoken before about having a toy instruction site. For basic things to begin with. This girl sees no reason why BDSMers should pay kink tax for toys, especially basic bondage gear. So this is hopefully something that will happen in the future, to help people out, to get them designing things, thinking up things themselves having fun with their own creativity. That’ll hopefully happen when they live together so she can photograph steps for things. Though, there are a great number of good basic instruction sites already – see the home made bdsm links to the side.

But as far as his more outrageous designs go…

well….if you have the skill…by all means reverse engineer.. and have fun doing so! But, don’t expect Grimly and this girl to make it quick and easy for you as it cheapens the effort that Grimly has put in, and it’s part of this girl’s fantasy that she enjoys the unique creations from the mind and shed of her sadistically creative owner.
